SKBNM offers child care in Bussum, Naarden, Muiden and Muiderberg.
We are delighted to welcome you to SKBNM, where your child aged 0 to 16 years can develop in familiar surroundings. We focus our attention on offering the children that we look after, all possibilities to play and to develop in the broadest sense.
The aim of SKBNM is to offer qualitatively good child care; we are a non-profit institution. It might be good to know that SKBNM is the longest HKZ/ISO 9001 certified child care organization in the Netherlands; we have held this quality mark for 12 years now.
Parents' satisfaction with SKBNM is evident when looking at the last customer satisfaction survey in which SKBNM was granted nothing less than an 8 (out of 10). Parents are most satisfied with the atmosphere in the groups and the commitment of our teachers.
The official language in all our day care centres is Dutch. By mutual agreement we are able to place your child(ren) in a group where the nursery teachers also speak English, to facilitate a decent exchange of information between you and the teachers.
At SKBNM you can choose from several day care possibilities:
Play groups (peuterspeelzalen)
In a play group children aged 2 and 3 years can play with children of their own age, on working days from 08:45 till 12:00 o'clock. A play group offers pre-schoolers an enrichment of their world: friends, new toys and pedagogical staff members to teach them new things. Play groups thereby form a good preparation for primary school. Also good to know: the play groups where we work with language stimulation programme Puk & Ko, often have an extra low rate. Nurseries (kinderdagverblijven)
Children aged 0 to 4 years are welcome here from 08:00 till 18:00 o'clock (extended contract till 18:30 o'clock is possible). Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers in our nurseries are given all opportunity to play and have fun with other children. Under the supervision of our experienced pedagogical staff members, in a fixed group with a set plan for the day. Half day care (halve dagopvang)
Half day care is ‘regular' day care with adjusted opening hours: from 08:00 till 13:00 o'clock. Children aged 1,5 to 4 years are very welcome. The half day care is opened during 40 school weeks per year. Click here for a map, more information (in Dutch) and pictures.
After school care (buitenschoolse opvang)
After school hours and on non-school days children between 4 and 10,5 years can attend our after school care. We offer them a whole range of possibilities for planning their free afternoon in their own way. They can for instance live it up in the studio, kitchen, construction room, theater room, or outside on the playground. Self-invented play is stimulated, however we also regularly organize workshops and classes for the children. Getting your swimming certificate during after school care? This is also an option at SKBNM! We offer a unique service called ‘clubs-driving' whereby children are driven to their swimming lessons, judo, ballet or their own trainings during the after school care.
We also have 3 after school care locations specializing in sports for boys and girls from the age of 8 who like to exercise; the emphasis is on a range of sports and games on offer. Click here for a map, more information (in Dutch) and pictures.
After school care for teenagers (tienercentrum Tiens)
Teenagers between the age of 10,5 and 16 years may come to Tiens in Bussum after school hours, during free periods and on inset days and holidays. There are separate living rooms for primary school pupils and secondary school students. If necessary the students themselves spend a maximum of one hour on their homework, whereby they can get professional homework support. After that they decide what they fancy doing that day. Doing exercise is always possible, as is Xboxing, cooking, playing games and just hanging out. During the school holidays special events are organized such as an ice-cream parlors' bike tour or a survival day. Click here for more information (in Dutch) about Tiens and pictures.

Our staff at the Service desk will also be happy to inform you about the costs of child care and explain all about the Dutch child care benefit, a grant for parents who combine child care with work or study.
